About the remake
Hello everyone!
As I mentioned in my previous post, Steam has rejected Love's Heart on their platform and, since my account is probably still under quarantine, it's been difficult for me to keep updating my games on itch.io. On top of that, working on Love's Heart using RPG Maker is challenging and very time-consuming, so if I need money to keep living, I have to prioritize projects that can generate more income.
To address this, I’ve decided to remake Love's Heart, this time in Ren’py and using realistic art. This not only allows me to recreate the game and set it in a more believable university environment that won’t be rejected by Steam, but also lets me work much faster, more efficiently, and more comfortably. That said, I know many of you have grown fond of the anime-style art I created for the original game, so I’ll continue working on the RPG Maker version — though I’m afraid updates will be slow, since I have to prioritize income-generating projects.
What I wanted to share with you in this post is that I’ve already started working on the remake of Love’s Heart. Maybe it’s a bit early, since I asked Steam if there would be any issue with trying to republish the game with all these big changes that should easily pass their review, but I haven’t received a response yet. Even so, I’m hopeful for a positive reply — and honestly, I was really excited to start working on this game. Here's the first image I’m showing you from the remake:

As you can see in the image above, to move around the campus all you have to do is click on the place you want to go, and your character will move across the map. In the top left corner of the screen, you can see some interface elements I’ve already added: the backpack to check your inventory, a quest log to keep track of your current quests, and also a mobile phone — although the phone isn’t programmed yet.
Please ignore any text you see in Spanish; I haven’t started working on the translation yet.
Since I’m remaking the game from scratch, I’m taking the opportunity to fix all the issues the original version had. For example, showering and attending class will no longer be mandatory, and you won’t be penalized for skipping classes. After all, Haruna is an adult — she can do whatever she wants. There’s also no more curfew, and you won’t have to sneak past professors during nighttime gameplay anymore.
The mechanics for spying on girls while they masturbate are still present and have been improved — now they feature well-made animations. I’ve also enhanced map navigation by allowing access to the Main Building from multiple angles, and you can now use this elevator in the Student Pavilion to go directly to the floor you want instead of climbing them one by one.
Also, since I’m starting the game from scratch, I can rename some locations that weren’t properly written in English in the original version, and I can also fix poorly translated dialogues.
You can still choose your character’s name, but you can no longer choose between the three versions of Haruna — only the default one is available now. This is to save me a lot of work and reduce the game’s file size, since Haruna now appears visually in every scene. If I had to include all three versions, I’d need to add every image featuring her three times, and that would be insane.
Right now, I’m preparing a prototype to publish so I can get your feedback and find out if you like the ideas I’m introducing for this remake, and what changes you’d like me to make. This prototype will consist of Day 1 of the game, which serves as the tutorial.
During nighttime gameplay, you can go to the same places as during the day, and your actions in your room and other locations are represented by icons.
Just like in the original game, you’ll end the night either by going to sleep in your bed or by spying on one of the girls — the chances of them doing something or just being quiet remain the same. I’ve also improved Haruna’s masturbation scene.
In the original game, the characters mostly wore sailor uniforms and didn’t even have pajamas. Now that I’m remaking the game in Ren’Py, each character has their own pajamas and all the outfits they need, and they no longer wear any kind of uniform. After all, they’re in a university. Giving them uniforms in the original version was a mistake on my part — I only did it to avoid having to decide what clothes each character would wear.
That’s all I wanted to share with you for now. I haven’t finished programming the tutorial day yet, so I’ll keep working on it. I think I’ve already added all the necessary maps — now I just need to create the events. As you can see, they’re no longer limited to a few sprites talking over a background; now every scene feels alive. It takes more time, but it’s totally worth it.
I hope you’ve enjoyed what you’ve seen so far. If you’d like more information about the masturbation scenes and the daily shower, I’ve also published a post on my Patreon that you can access simply by becoming a free member. Here’s the link!

Once the prototype is finished, I’ll release it for free so that everyone can play it and give me your feedback if you’d like. I’ll launch it on Windows and Android/iOS, and this time, there will finally be an APK file.
Have a good day!

The character looks okay-ish, i guess, but the "moving around campus" picture looks very horror-like and depressing in my opinion.
Why is that? What's the problem?
it just look, idk too empty and like devoid of any happiness and all that.. just my personal opinion and maybe its just a me problem. You don't need to change if it you wanna.
Don't worry, I appreciate any feedback. The problem you see is that there are no decorative elements that would make the place feel more alive and cheerful. For example, plants to decorate or even people, to make it feel like you're not alone. Is that so? For the prototype, I don't think I'll change it because it's a prototype focused on the story and gameplay mechanics. But by the time I'm working on the full game, I can add that without a problem. Thanks for your feedback, and any other comments are totally welcome.
no problem, just glad to help you
