About this game

Hey everyone!  

Wow, the more I say I’m going to bring a new update soon, the longer I take to do it. And unfortunately, I’m not making this devlog to talk about a new update, but quite the opposite.  

I’m afraid there won’t be any more updates for this game. At least not like the ones there have been so far.  

You see, honestly, I love this game’s story. I came up with it a few years ago and decided it would be a series of four seasons, each with twelve episodes, like an anime, and that I would make it in The Sims 4. In fact, I completed the entire first season (up to Yuriko and Haruka’s kiss), and I still have it. I tried to publish it on YouTube, but unfortunately, the platform deleted my videos, and that’s where my idea died. I revived it some time later thanks to itch.io. A game like this had no place in RPG Maker—I needed to create it in a different way. And what I came up with was Ren'Py. Because at that time—we're talking about almost three years ago—I didn’t know how to use Ren'Py, I decided it would be a kinetic visual novel (that is, without player choices, just a novel to read). Likewise, this isn’t a story that needs choices because there’s only one story—the one I’ve been wanting to tell for years—so this style seemed perfect to me. The characters? I could easily create them in VRoid Studio, anime style. So, the models I had made in The Sims turned into anime characters—the ones you know today. The backgrounds for the visual novel? That was a bigger issue. I didn’t know what backgrounds to use, and I didn’t want to hire an artist to draw a bunch of backgrounds for a free game. My solution? Once again, The Sims 4. All of the game’s backgrounds are screenshots I took while playing The Sims 4.  

Thanks to this, I was able to start my visual novel and publish it in a place where no one would take it down. And not only that, but it also helped me gain followers and great support, which I will always appreciate—I received a lot of positive comments about it.  

However, after some time, problems arose. First, this game stopped being a priority for me because time passes, and I need money to survive. So, free games like this one, which doesn’t even have a paid Early Access version and isn’t as popular as Love’s Heart, had to be set aside so I could focus on paid games. Even so, I kept working on it whenever I could. However, it was a game that really had no future. Using assets from The Sims 4, I was never going to be able to charge for it. It also wasn’t the game with the best reviews—some people commented that the erotic scenes were quite poor, and honestly, they’re right. The game is visually pretty bad, that’s clear. So, does it really make sense to finish it? Of course, there are people who like it, and I would never want to disappoint them—the people who have supported the game deserve to see it finished. Unfortunately, from an economic standpoint, it has no purpose. I don’t even enjoy working with VRoid Studio anymore because the anime models aren’t of the best quality, and the erotic scenes I make are very poor, plus they take a long time to create. I can’t find any reasons to continue with this game.  

So, let me tell you what I’ve come up with. Of course, this game will not be canceled at all. It will receive a remake. That’s right—just like I stopped making it in The Sims 4 and turned it into a visual novel in Ren'Py with an anime style, now I will stop making it this way and do the following:  

Just like Yuri Party! and Yuri Demon, the game will replace all the anime character designs with realistic character designs, and I will no longer use graphics from The Sims 4 but instead switch to 3D. Thanks to this, the game will gain a huge quality boost (well-made characters, high-quality erotic scenes with animations included, good environments, etc.), and I will be able to continue it with less effort (realistic erotic scenes take much less time and look much better than the ones I can create using VRoid). Some people might not like this change, but I beg you to believe me—I’ve thought this through, and it’s the best choice for the game. It’s the only way I can ever finish it.  

Now, let me talk about some points I’m still unsure about:  

**Question: Will it continue to have the current visual novel format, meaning backgrounds and images of characters talking? Or will it be like Yuri Party and Yuri Demon, with hundreds of rendered images that bring the characters to life?**  

**Answer:** I haven’t decided yet. It’s a long game, so making it like Yuri Party! would be much more work. But that’s really the best way to do it, right? And since this is a final remake, we should make it as good as possible.  

**Question: Will there be choices in the game this time?**  

**Answer:** No, I don’t think so. I could add choices like in Sono Hanabira, where you pick between two options—if you get it right, the story continues, and if you get it wrong, the story stops at some point, and you have to go back and make the right choice. But no one wants that. And as I’ve said, this game has a story that I’ve already planned, and it must be linear—the game can’t let you pursue a romance with Oruga, for example, or have routes with Harumi’s sisters, because that’s not how the story I envisioned goes. So, I think the only gameplay will be choosing which sexual position you want to see during the sex scenes. I’ll try to make several options from different angles so players have plenty of choices in those scenes.  

**Question: When will the new version of the game be released?**  

**Answer:** I don’t know yet. So far, I’ve designed some characters. But right now, I’m working on other games, so I’m not sure when I’ll finish the first version of this one.  

**Question: Will this page remain the game’s page, or will you create a new one?**  

**Answer:** I might create a new project with another page (assuming itch.io’s rules allow it, which I think they do, right?). After all, that would give the new game more visibility, and we could keep this page for a while as a memory of how this game started.  

**Question: Will the game still be free, or will you charge for it this time?**  

**Answer:** The game will probably be like Yuri Demon. I’ll release it on Steam someday, and there it will cost money. Until then, I’ll update it chapter by chapter on itch.io for free, with a paid Early Access version for those who want to support me and play the game early. The last chapter or last season will probably be paid-only.  

These are all the questions I could think of that don’t have a definitive answer yet. Now, let me show you the designs I’ve made so far for the main characters. 

Here we have Yuriko, one of the protagonists of the game. I’ve tried to make everyone as similar as possible to their anime versions, though I’ve modified some a little. She still looks quite faithful to how you know her—what do you think?  

Here we have Yuri, Yuriko’s older brother and a very important character in the story. I’ve tried to keep him looking like a handsome flirt—did I succeed?  

Here we have Harumi. I should mention that this is her design for going out—she wears a different outfit for school. Do you like her? Do you like her hair? 

This is Haruka. As flirty as ever, she’s the one who wears the most makeup, the most jewelry, and the sexiest outfits, as you can see. Do you like her? 

And here’s Haruko. Since she’s Haruka’s twin sister, she looks exactly the same in terms of design—she just has a different hairstyle and outfit. Don’t be fooled by her expression—she’s still the most serious and grumpy one in the family. It’s just that, when I took the screenshot, she happened to have a neutral expression. She’s wearing her university outfit. 

That’s all I wanted to say for now. I hope you like these changes I’ve decided to make in order to continue this project. Of course, as I always say, if you have any suggestions or opinions you’d like to share, I’d be happy to read them.
